Whānau photo booth - 50 years of Te Wiki o te reo Māori.
9 Sep 2025

As we celebrate the 50th anniversary of te reo Māori, we invite you and your whānau to take part in something special.  We are setting up a whānau photo booth at kura as part of our celebrations.

Bring your whānau along, strike a pose in front of our green screen, be part of our Ko Wai Au storytelling project.  These images will be turned into taonga for your whānau to take home in Term 4.  Tamariki will also have the chance to add backgrounds, text, or patterns to make each photo unique.

Camera times:

Mornings: 8.10am - 9.30am

Afternoons: 2.00pm - 3.00pm

  • Identifying external and internal body parts and their functions.
  • The physical changes that occur in the various stages of growth from childhood to adulthood for males and females.
  • Strategies to positively deal with the physical, emotional and social changes at puberty.
  • The importance of a positive self image and strategies for dealing with stereotyping that can affect how students feel about themselves.

In term 4 Rooms 5 and 6 will be covering Caring for our bodies— healthy eating, responsible body care and the importance of a positive self image and strategies for dealing with stereotyping that can affect how students feel about themselves.

We are writing to inform you that Whaea Rona will be available on Thursday 28 August at 3.15 p.m. in Room 7 to discuss the content of the programme.
