School Open Tomorrow
16 Feb 2026

Kia orana koutou
Firstly, thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges posed by the recent storm.  We hope you are all safe and well and we all get a good night's sleep tonight.

We had 3 windows damaged as a result of the storm overnight and a lot of debris on the roads and around our community.  The windows have been made safe and with the weather already improving school can reopen tomorrow as normal.

Room 6 and 7 students should come to the school hall tomorrow at 8:30am, ready to depart for camp just like we would have today, with all of their gear for camp.  We will stay 1 night only and are currently trying to provide an additional experience for the kids on Thursday.  We will let you now once this is confirmed.

Thank you again for your support.

School Closed Today
16 Feb 2026

Kia orana whanau.

Unfortunately we have lots 3 windows at school and there is a large amount of debris all over our community with some roads blocked. We have txt all families to say school is closed for today and we will have an update at 1pm. This also means we will not be leaving for school camp today, but more information will follow.

Please stay home and stay safe.

Final Camp Notice 4

Final Camp Notice 4

Please have your child arrive at school by 8:30am on Monday 16 February and go straight to the hall with their bags.  We will pack and load the school van before having most children and staff leave by bus and a small group travel by school van. We will provide all meals until we return.

Similarly we will return to school at approximately 2:30pm on Wednesday 18th February, when kids can be collected from the school hall.  They will be very tired, so please meet them at school as early as possible.

We ask that children not bring cell phones and please limit any treat foods your young person brings to camp.  Our biggest challenges come from lack of sleep caused by digital technologies and junk food. A water bottle and sunhat are absolutely essential.

At this stage the weather for Monday looks perfect but may get worse on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Our programme will continue unless it becomes a safety concern, in which case we will have indoor activities as a back up.

All whanau are welcome to join us on Tuesday between 12:30 and 5:30pm.  If you arrive by 12:45 you can join your young person for their last 2 activities listed below.  Please follow the driveway and park at the first red box near the playground.  Then walk to the pool area to join us.  Everyone will be at their activities by 1pm.

Where is Camp Forest Lakes?

Camp Forest Lakes is approximately 45 minutes away, just North of Otaki (3/156 Forest Lakes Road, Ōtaki)
